Koenigsegg CCX - CCXR

The Koenigsegg CCXR is a mid-engined roadster produced by the Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. The car is powered by a twin-supercharged V8 engine.

Koenigsegg CCXR engine is 4.7 liter 288 cu in (4719 cc) V8, with dual overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder. Engine block made of aluminum alloy that has undergone heat treatment T7, a form of accelerated precipitation strengthening. This machine is driven by two Rotrex centrifugal superchargers provide 1.6 bar by increasing the compression ratio of 8.8:1, which is achieved by sequential, multipoint fuel. This machine has a patented system response to load the machine the optimal response. Machinery lubricated with dry flood the system with separate oil pump, pistons are cooled by oil sprayed onto them and the oil itself has an external cooling. Engine produces 1064 bhp (793 kW; 1079 PS) at 7200 rpm and 782 pounds · ft (1060 N ° m) of torque at 6100 rpm at E100 fuel ethanol. CCX engine burns 18 l/100 km (16 mpg-imp; 13 mpg-US) on the trip and 22 l/100 km highway (13 mpg-imp; 11 mpg-US) on a joint trip on E85 ethanol fuel.

CCXR has specially developed six-speed manual gearbox with shift-paddles transversely with the optional dual clutch plate diameter of 240 mm. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a torque sensitive, limited slip differentia

CCXR can accelerate from 0-100 km / h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and 0-200 km / h (120 mph) in 8.6 seconds. CCXR can accelerate 0-200 km / h (120 mph) and reduce the speed from 200 (120mph)-h 0km / in 13.7 seconds. According to Koenigsegg, the CCXR is the estimated speed of 400 km / h (250 mph), although this has not been officially verified. Braking distance from CCXR 32m (when slowing from 100 km. / H (62 mph)

In March 2009 the CCXR is selected by Forbes as one of the ten most beautiful cars in history.
